Class activities for Friday, April 25
Spelling: We reviewed contractions today as two words shortened into one.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of at least seven words each are due Friday.
Reading: Students practiced their Literature Circles plays today.
Writing: Today was the last school work day for students to work on their I-Search projects (click here for more details). Students have until Saturday to…
- spell check their presentations using SpellCheck.net or some other resource, or
- work on their presentation saved on MrHowd.com Google Docs (docs.mrhowd.com). This presentation can be edited from school and home.
I will save all presentations on Sunday, so no work done on that day will be included in the presentations shown at school.
Students will present their research on Monday morning, April 28, from 10:30-11:30 am in the small gym during our I-Search Conference. Family members are welcome! View your student’s presentation time here.
Students have been asked to wear nice, business casual type clothing (no jeans, t-shirts or shorts, please). Students may bring clothes to change into after their presentation. Finally, it might be a good idea to have your student practice talking through their presentation before Monday.
Math: Students completed a division MiniQuiz today.
Science: In health today we talked about four kinds of control:
- environment
- authority
- norms
- self-control
Social Studies: Students made a new Americans Arrive in Michigan minibook today.

- Current Hours with No Orange Magnets: 14
