Class activities for Monday, March 16
Spelling: None today due to a writing minilesson about stopping run-on sentences.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: Today Literature Circles groups worked on a project to share their book with the class.
Writing: Students continued to work on their novel being written and typed at docs.mrhowd.com. Ask your student what their word count goal is and how many words they have written so far. Math: We reviewed our latest math MiniQuiz today and practiced for tomorrow’s math test over these concepts:
- decimal addition and subtraction
- putting decimals in order
- metric measurement
- metric unit conversion
- number stories
Science: We reviewed electrical safety today. Homework is to finish the Etch-a-Sketch organizer on safety.
Social Studies: We read about the Hopewell Mound Builder people of Michigan and took notes in our minibooks.
