Class activities for Friday, April 1
Spelling: None today due to the 5th Grade Camp Read-a-Thon.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: None today due to the 5th Grade Camp Read-a-Thon.
Writing: None today due to the 5th Grade Camp Read-a-Thon.
Students are continuing to work on their next piece of writing, the I-Search project. Students will research a topic and create a digital presentation using Google Docs (docs.mrhowd.com).
Here are more details about the I-Search project. Our general timeline :
- Week 1: Collect research
- Week 2: Select research, plan presentation, start draft of presentation
- Week 3: Finalize presentation, present at our I-Search Conference at the end of April
Math: None today due to the half day schedule.
Science: None today due to the 5th Grade Camp Read-a-Thon.
Social Studies: None today due to the 5th Grade Camp Read-a-Thon.
Lightning Larry Play: Last night’s play went wonderfully and the class received lots of compliments. Great work students and the families that helped them. Special thanks to Mrs. Linden for help with the set, costumes and props!
