Class activities for Tuesday, May 31
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles. Students also completed a STAR Reading test.
Writing: Students worked on their Find It, Decide It compare and contrast project, which is due Monday, June 6.
Math: Students reviewed area of rectangles today. Homework is to finish Journal pp. 310-313.
Science: We learned about how the earth’s tilt allows direct rays to shine one different hemispheres of earth at different times. When the sun is shining directly on a hemisphere, it is summer for that area. Homework is to finish Science Court Part 3.
Social Studies: We learned about how the colonists struggled with either being loyal to the King of England or being a patriot fighting for freedom.
