Class activities for Thursday, June 2
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Students worked on their Find It, Decide It compare and contrast project, which is due Monday, June 6.
Math: None today due to extra time with Science.
Science: We learned that the phases of the moon are caused by the moon revolving around the earth and the sun’s light being blocked by the moon itself. A full moon happens because the sun is behind the earth, and a new moon is because the sun is behind the moon.
Social Studies: We started to learn about the Declaration of Independence. Homework is to finish Notebook pp. 65-66 if not finished in class.
