Class activities for Monday, March 18
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students completed a STAR Reading test today.
Writing: Students worked on drafting for their fiction novel project today. The novel is due Tuesday, March 26. Each student has their own word count goal to reach during this project. See this previous post for more details. See the chart to the right to see how the class is progressing toward 100% completion of each word count goal.
Math: We played a game to review for tomorrow’s test about adding and subtracting fractions. There is a Topic 9 practice test in the math book that could be used as a study guide.
Science: The class completed an experiment about testing human variation with catching one handed and two handed. Homework is to finish the analysis questions on p. 38.
Social Studies: We learned about the activities that slaves took part in (singing, storytelling, faith) to give them hope. Homework is to finish notebook p. 49.
