Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading skills and AR practice day.
Writing: Students worked on drafting their essay today.
Here’s a sample that we started writing a literary essay together.
A literary essay will be due Friday, February 6.
Math: Students practiced division today using Khan Academy. Here are some skills we’ve been working on lately:
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Also, we took our first loss today in Division Madness. Our record is 2-1. Today, we lost by one point. The class vowed to practice at least 5 minutes nightly with division facts.
Science: Students worked with a partner to conduct their own experiment. Homework is to finish analysis questions 5, 6, and 8 on p. 41. There will also be a MiniQuiz soon about investigations 5-8.
Social Studies: None today due to our math skills practice time.
