Digital Citizenship
What is it?
Most people have an idea about what being a good citizen is…follow the law, respect others, pay taxes, work hard, the list could go on.
Being a good digital citizen is the same for the digital world. The poster to the right focuses on what information to share, respectful online communication, how to stay safe from online predators, standing up to cyperbullying, and balancing time spent online and offline.
What will students learn?
Elementary students will learn about these topics:
- Media balance and well-being
- Privacy and security
- Digital footprint and identity
- Relationships and communication
- Cyberbulling, digital drama and hate speech
- News and media literacy
How will students learn?
Students learn digital citizenship through Common Sense Media curriculum.
