Class activities for Tuesday, April 14
Spelling: We reviewed the use of an apostrophe to show ownership and in contractions, and we learned that possessive pronouns do not use apostrophes to show ownership.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles; some groups worked on chunking as a reading strategy.
Writing: Students continued to collect research for their I-Search research project (click here for more details).
Visit our research website and see what students are working on. This digital presentation is due Wednesday, April 29 and will be presented Friday, May 1.
Math: We worked on estimating products today. Homework is to finish Journal pp. 122-124 if not finished in class.
Science: We reviewed for tomorrow’s science test about electricity, electrical safety, and weather safety.
Social Studies: We continued learning about European explorers and working on an alphabet soup organizer. This will be due on Thursday.
