Class activities for Thursday, April 16
Spelling: None today due to a writing minilesson.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles.
Writing: We practiced writing questions to anticipate what the reader might ask. Students continued to collect research for their I-Search research project (click here for more details). Some students also started to make a mind map/web to organize their information, using Bubbl.us.
Visit our research website and see what students are working on. This digital presentation is due Wednesday, April 29 and will be presented Friday, May 1.
Math: Students were introduced to the partial products method of multiplication. Here’s a video tutorial:
Homework is to finish Journal pp. 125 and 127.
Science: Students made new minibooks and received Sun, Moon and Earth science books.
Social Studies: We finished learning about French Explorers. Homework is to finish an alphabet soup organizer.
