Class activities for Tuesday, May 18
Spelling: We reviewed common /or/ spelling patterns.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students received new Literature Circles groups and started a reading day.
Writing: We read a few poems and noticed that repeating words or lines makes a poem more musical.
A collection of poems is due into portfolios on Friday, May 21.
Math: We continued to review the partial quotients method of division. Homework is to finish the Division Peer Practice page started in class.
Science: Students completed a MiniQuiz about energy uses. We also completed an experiment about human traits. Homework is to graph the data from the experiment.
Social Studies: We looked at how changes in the economy affected the town of Rhyolite, Nevada, and also affects in Michigan.
