Class activities for Friday, January 7
Spelling: We reviewed words that are commonly made into compound words, but shouldn’t be (into vs. in to, everybody vs. everybody, everyday vs. every day).
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students practiced reciting plays that they will perform for the class.
Writing: None today due to technology.
Our next piece of writing, a fiction piece, will be due Friday, January 21. Students should be drafting at this time.
Math: None due to STAR Friday.
Science: Students worked on answering questions about clinical trials. Homework is to finish Analysis questions 4-6 on pp. 20-21.
Social Studies: We acted out a scene from the lost colony of Roanoake and “interviewed” the characters.
