Class activities for Monday, January 31
Spelling: Students worked on making their Words to Learn list of spelling words they missed on the last spelling test. Homework is to complete making this list by correcting missed spelling words, highlighting missed words in the writer’s folder, and writing sentences for any missed homophones.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Students worked in the computer lab today on the lead and beginning of their adventure story.
Our next project is a Choose Your Own Adventure fiction gamebook, due Friday, February 11. Students will publish their adventure as a website at sites.mrhowd.com. Students should be drafting at this time.
