Class activities for Thursday, April 21
Spelling: We reviewed common /ul/ spelling patterns by spelling various animal names (cattle, eagle, camel).
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students received new Literature Circles books today.
Writing: Students worked on their I-Search project by collecting research and working on their digital presentations.
Here are more details about the I-Search project. Our general timeline :
- Week 1: Collect research
- Week 2: Select research, plan presentation, start draft of presentation
- Week 3: Finalize presentation, present at our I-Search Conference on Friday, April 29
Math: We reviewed adding and subtracting fractions today.
Science: Students continued to work on the Jet Toy Challenge project.
Social Studies: None today due to a Physical Education and Nutrition lesson.
