Class activities for Monday, May 23
Spelling: None today due to a character education lesson from Mrs. Alexander about teasing.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: We discussed our final writing piece of the year, a compare and contrast piece. Students will work with a partner to collaborate on researching a decision, comparing and contrasting options, and making an informed decision. The Find It, Decide It compare and contrast project is due Friday, June 3.
Math: Students practiced dividing fractions. Homework is to finish Journal p. 293.
Science: We watched the second part of Science Court about how seasons are caused by the tilt of the earth.
Social Studies: We learned about King George III and how his stubborn personality contributed to the problems with the colonies. Homework is to finish Notebook p. 58.
