Class activities for Monday, June 6
Spelling: Students completed the final spelling test of the year.
Cursive: Students completed the final cursive quiz of the year.
Reading: None today.
Writing: The Find It, Decide It compare and contrast project is due into portfolios by Wednesday, June 8. There are no new writing assignments for the year.
Math: We reviewed area and practiced finding the area of cubes and rectangular prisms.
Science: We learned about these ideas:
- The moon’s gravity causes tides
- Lunar eclipses are caused when the earth blocks the sun’s light from shining on the moon
- Solar eclipses are caused when the moon blocks the sun’s light from shining on the earth
- Everything in the solar system is really big and really far away!
Social Studies: None today.
