Spelling: There are no more spelling assignments for the year.

Cursive: There are no more spelling assignments for the year.

Reading: None today.

Writing: There are no more writing assignments for the year.

Math: Students completed the year-end math test today.

Science: None today.

Social Studies: We learned about the Declaration of Independence, the Revolutionary War, and the Constitution.

Math: Students completed several math facts tests today.

Science: None due to Celebration of Life.

    Spelling: Students completed the final spelling test of the year.

    Cursive: Students completed the final cursive quiz of the year.

    Reading: None today.

    Writing: The Find It, Decide It compare and contrast project is due into portfolios by Wednesday, June 8. There are no new writing assignments for the year.

    Math: We reviewed area and practiced finding the area of cubes and rectangular prisms.

    Science: We learned about these ideas:

    • The moon’s gravity causes tides
    • Lunar eclipses are caused when the earth blocks the sun’s light from shining on the moon
    • Solar eclipses are caused when the moon blocks the sun’s light from shining on the earth
    • Everything in the solar system is really big and really far away!


    Social Studies: None today.

    Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.

    Reading: None today due to extra time with math.

    Writing: Students worked on publishing their novel today using Lulu.com.

    The Find It, Decide It compare and contrast project is due Monday, June 6.

    Math: We practiced finding the areas of triangles and parallelograms.

    Science: We reviewed moon phases today.

    Social Studies: We learned about how the Declaration of Independence was written.
