Class activities for Thursday, October 13
Spelling: None today due to students working on the Writing MEAP test.
Cursive: Cursive pp. 21-23 are available and due Friday.
Reading: None today due to students working on the Writing MEAP test.

A personal narrative is due into portfolios on Monday, October 17. Students should be editing by correcting spelling, capital letter and sentence sense mistakes.
Math: We learned about special quotients in division problems:
- A number divided by 1 is that number (7 / 1 = 7)
- A number divided by itself is 1 (8 / 8 = 1)
- Zero divided by a number is zero ( 0 / 8 = 0)
- A number divided by zero has no answer (8 / 0 = impossible)
Homework is to finish Journal P1-8.
Science: Students tested different types of metal to see which ones were magnetic. Homework is to finish the Sticky Metals experiment if not done in class.
Social Studies: We finish taking notes about market economies.
