Class activities for Wednesday, November 2
Spelling: Students completed a spelling and skill test today.
Cursive: Cursive pp. 30-32 are available and due Friday.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles. Some students worked on making inferences using clues from a text.
Writing: Students worked on editing conferences today.
A slightly fictionalized personal narrative is due Friday, November 4. Students should be editing at this time.
Math: We practiced finding rules and patterns in geometric figures, such as stacks of blocks. Homework is to finish Journal P2-5.
Science: We talked about how magnets are attracted to compasses, magnetic objects and iron filings. The magnetic force of a magnetic appears as lines when the iron filings are placed near a magnet.
Social Studies: None today due to Reading and Math Skills time.
