Class activities for Wednesday, December 14
Spelling: We learned that the word certain has a soft syllable ending that makes it sound different that the word main. Other soft syllable endings:
- fountain
- captain
- curtain
- again
Cursive: Cursive pp. 51-53 are available and due Friday.
Reading: Students worked on Literature Circles projects to share their books with the class.
Writing: Students worked on editing conferences today.
The next piece of writing is a fiction story, due Monday, December 19. Students should be editing at this time.
Math: None today due to rehearsal for the fourth grade musical.
Science: We talked about conductors and insulators of heat. Just like metals are good conductors of electricity, they are also good conductors of heat.
Social Studies: None today due to our reading and math skills time.
