Class activities for Monday, April 23
Spelling: Students learned that consonant blends are two more more consonants next to each other in a word. Each letter sound is heard. In the word state, st is a consonant blend.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Students continued to work on the I-Search research project by working on their digital presentation using Google Docs.
This informational project will be due Friday, April 27. Students should be collecting information and planning their presentation.
Math: Students practiced identifying prime and composite numbers today. We also learned about multiples and practiced thinking about if one number is a multiple of another.
