December 19th, 2012
Class activities for Wednesday, December 19
Spelling: None today due to extra time with writing.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students previewed and selected new Literature Circles books.
Writing: Students started prewriting conferences to discuss their adventure story ideas. They also started to plan their story, including the beginning, middle, end, characters, plot and setting.
Our next writing project is a Choose Your Own Adventure fiction gamebook. Students will write a fiction adventure story with choices that the reader can make. Each choice can change how the story turns out. Students will publish their adventure as a website at sites.mrhowd.com. See below for more details.
This project is due Wednesday, January 23. Students should be prewriting to gather ideas at this point.
