Class activities for Friday, January 11
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles. We also looked at our class reading level progress:
Our most recent class reading level was 6.4, a slight drop from December’s 6.5 level. However, level 6.4 matches our yearly goal! So far, the class reading level has grown a year, and it’s only January! Great work, everyone!
Writing: Students continued to draft their story websites today.
Our next writing project is a Choose Your Own Adventure fiction gamebook. Students will write a fiction adventure story with choices that the reader can make. Each choice can change how the story turns out. Students will publish their adventure as a website at sites.mrhowd.com. See below for more details.
This project is due Monday, January 21. Students should be drafting at this point.
