Math: We practiced using number sense by estimating to place decimals after multiplying. Here’s an example:

  1. For 3.2 x 4.1, estimate the problem to be 3 x 4. The answer is 12.
  2. Using the estimate, the answer must be close to 12.
  3. To solve this problem, multiply the number without decimals points. The problem would be 32 x 41, and the answer is 1312.
  4. To place the decimal, use the estimate of 12. Since the answer needs to be close to 12, the decimals should be put after the 13. The answer is 13.12.

Homework is to finish Journal P6-3.

Science: We organized our science notebook to make it easier to use it for science experiment notes. We began the first experiment about solving problems.

Social Studies: None today due to our math skills time.
