Class activities for Friday, February 22

Spelling: We reviewed common spelling patterns for the /ou/sound: ou and ow.

Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.

Reading: Students completed an informational reading test today.

Writing: Students continued to draft their persuasive letter by adding survey data or core democratic values as evidence.

Our current writing project is a persusive essay in the form of a letter. Each student will select an issue facing our country and will share their ideas on how to improve the issue. This persuasive letter is due Wednesday, February 27.

Math: None today due to the talent show.

Science: None today due to brainstorming procedures to improve kindness and teamwork in our class.

Social Studies: We read about the jobs available in different colonial regions.
