Class activities for Wednesday, May 2
Spelling: Students worked on spelling packets today. The unit 10 worksheets are available here.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words are due each Friday.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles. Some groups worked on connections today. We also visited the library and read Esperanza Rising.
Writing: We began a new writing project: a class newspaper about our fourth grade year. Student partners picked an article topic and are prewriting. Students also printed out their I-Search presentation slides and turned them into their portfolios.
Math: Students received new math journals and we reviewed fractions today. Homework is to finish Journal pp. 189-192.
Science: Students completed a sound science test today.
Social Studies: None today due to extra time in the library and with writing.
