Class activities for Friday, May 4
Spelling: None today. We will have a spelling test on Tuesday. The unit 10 worksheets are available here.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words are due each Friday.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles. Students also completed a reading test.
Writing: Mr. Weiss taught a lesson on peer responses and editing today.
Math: Students took a Math Skills post test today and we also practiced more fractions of sets problems (1/2 of 12 is 6, 2/3 of 15 is 10). Homework is to finish Journal pp. 194.
Science: We began our health unit by talking about four types of control (environmental, authority, social norms, self control) and family responsibilities and levels of self control for different ages from toddlers to grandparents.
