Class activities for Monday, September 17
Spelling: We used spelling time today to learn how to report the weather to our class using our wireless weather station.
Students have the Unit 1 spelling worksheets (download here), which will be due at the time of the spelling test. Find more information, including spelling lists, by clicking on the Spelling link.
Cursive: None today.
Reading: We practiced asking the “W” questions as we read: who, what, when, where, and why.
Writing: None today due to Constitution Day. We remembered how important the Constitution is by learning and singing the Preamble to the Constitution:
We the people
In order to form a more perfect union,
Establish justice, insure domestic tranquility,
Provide for the common defense,
Promote the general welfare and
Secure the blessings of liberty
To ourselves and our posterity
Do ordain and establish this Constitution
For the United States of America.

Math: None due to Constitution Day activities.
Science: We completed an experiment to determine what will be attracted to a magnet. Homework is to finish the analyze and conclude questions of the experiment worksheet.
Social Studies: We finished reading about the Mississippi River, water and swamps of the Southeast. Homework is to finish up the Southeast Water WordSplash that we started last week.
