Class activities for Tuesday, September 18
Spelling: We talked about common spelling patterns for the long o sound: ow, oa, o, o-consonant-e, -old. Students have the Unit 1 spelling worksheets (download here), which will be due at the time of the spelling test. Find more information, including spelling lists, by clicking on the Spelling link.
Cursive: Cursive pp. 19-20 were made available today and are due Friday.
Reading: None today due to a concert by Peaceful Authority, a group of Flint police officers who sang about character education.
Writing: We practiced writing about honesty today using a prompt and will finish tomorrow.
Math: We learned about rays and practiced naming and drawing them. Homework is to complete Math Boxes 1.2.
Science: We talked about what is attracted to magnets and discovered that magnets are attracted to certain kinds of metals.
Social Studies: None today.
