Class activities for Tuesday, October 16
Spelling: None today due to the Math MEAP test.
Cursive: Cursive pages 26-28 are available and are due Friday.
Reading: Today was the final reading day in this practice cycle of Literature Circles.
Writing: We talked about the Checklist for Good Writers today and how students can use it to help them with their writing. Today’s job was to start prewriting, either with a list or web, or by having a Prewriting conference. The next piece of writing, a personal narrative, is due on November 2.
Math: Today was the Math MEAP test.
Science: None today due to the MEAP test.
Social Studies: We finished learning about the Northeast and learned that this region is famous for forests, seafood, the Iroquois Indians and a colorful autumn. We finished up the SQ3R organizer, but students have tonight to put finishing touches on it.
