Class activities for Friday, October 19

Spelling: We reviewed the spelling patterns for the long i sound.

Cursive: Cursive pages 26-28 were due today.

Reading: Students worked today to plan their Literature Circles projects, which will be presented on Thursday.

Writing: Today’s minilesson was about focusing on a narrow time to make it easier to write about a topic. Students also continued to draft for their next piece of writing, a personal narrative, due on November 2.

Math: We practiced writing different names for numbers. Homework is Journal pp 29-30.

Science: We played science basketball to practice for the Science magnets test on Monday.

Social Studies: None today. The Alphabet Soup organizer for the Midwest is due on Monday.

Behavior Update:

  • Yellow magnets: 0
  • Orange magnets: 0
  • Red magnets: 0
  • STAR Awards: 3

Our total number of magnets moved this week was five (5), which was the second lowest total of the year! Great work!
