Class activities for Thursday, November 1
Spelling: Today was the Unit 2 spelling and skill test. The Unit 2 spelling packet will be due tomorrow.
Cursive: Cursive pages 32-34 are available and due tomorrow.
Reading: Today was a Literature Circles reading day. Some groups practicing writing open-ended questions.
Writing: We practiced writing precise nouns (instruction manual, not car booklet, rust, not brown stuff). Today was a publishing day. The final writing piece of the marking period is due tomorrow, November 2.
Math: We reviewed the data landmarks: maximum, minimum, range, mode and then added an new one, median. Homework is to complete Math Boxes 2.6 and StudyLink 2.6.
Science: None today due to library.
Social Studies: We finished talking about the West and learned that it is famous for Alaska, Hawaii, timber and gold. A MiniQuiz over the Southwest will be tomorrow.
