Class activities for Tuesday, November 6
Spelling: Students worked on their Words to Learn list. This is their spelling list to practice for the next test. Homework is to finish the Words to Learn list if not done in class.
Cursive: Cursive pages 35-37 are available and due Friday.
Reading: Today was a Literature Circles discussion day.
Writing: We made fall wreaths with harvest greetings. We used the thesaurus to look up more interesting words than “Happy Fall,” or “It’s Autumn.” The next piece of writing is due November 28.
Math: Today we learned a new way to add called partial sums. Homework is to complete Journal p. 39. The Student Reference Book has more information on the partial sums method of addition.
Science: We continued our experiment to design a circuit with a switch.
Social Studies: We played a game to review for tomorrow’s test over US Regions.
