Class activities for Monday, February 2
Spelling: None today due to our Social Studies Tour of Michigan project.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.
Reading: The final Literature Circles group performed their play today.
Writing: None today due to the unavailability of the computer lab. We’ll be working in the lab the remainder of the week.
A Choose Your Own Adventure fiction story, created on a website at sites.mrhowd.com, is due February 13. An example of the Choose Your Own Adventure genre can be found here and here.
Math: We reviewed fractions and decimals and practiced comparing and ordering decimals. Homework is to finish Journal pp. 83-85.
Science: None today due to our Social Studies Tour of Michigan project.
Social Studies: We took a “tour of Michigan” and each team shared their tour guide script with the class. We also took notes about the Upper and Lower Peninsulas in our minibooks. Homework is to finish review worksheet pp. 4 and 6.
