Class activities for Wednesday, April 1

Spelling: None today due to finishing some math from yesterday.

Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays; this week’s assignment is due Thursday.

Reading: Students received new Literature Circles magazines today to practice informational reading strategies.

Writing: Students continued to collect research for their I-Search research project (click here for more details). We also went to the library today to locate books, and students created accounts on to create mind maps and webs.

Visit our research website and see what students are working on. This digital presentation is due Wednesday, April 29.

Math: Students continued to work on estimating sums. Math was shortened today due to an assembly on Alaska and sled dog mushing.

Science: The final two groups presented their Wicked Weather melodramas today and we took notes on how to stay safe in severe weather.

Social Studies: None due to library.
