Class activities for Thursday, May 20
Spelling: We reviewed the their/there/they’re and theirs/there’s homophones.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: We learned about using line breaks to create whitespace in poetry.
A collection of poems is due into portfolios on Monday, May 24.
Math: Students played a game to review division today.
Science: We talked about how humans, plants and animals of the same kind will still show various differences.
Social Studies: We discussed outsourcing and how competition can drive jobs to be moved to other companies or countries.
