Class activities for Wednesday, December 8
Spelling: None due to making a class video about technology (look for more details soon).
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: None today due to making a class video. Students practiced reading the lines of the video with speed, tone and volume.
Writing: None today due to making a class video.
Our next piece of writing, a fiction piece, is due Monday, December 17. Students should be drafting at this time.
Math: We completed some math experiments to test what the sum of angle measures was for various polygons. We learned that the sum of angles for all triangles is 180 degrees. We also tested quadrangles, pentagons and hexagons and we noticed that the sum of angles increased with more sides. We’ll finish this experiment up tomorrow. Homework is to finish Journal pp. 93-94.
Science: None today due to library.
Social Studies: We finished our research about European Explorers and played a review game.
