Class activities for Wednesday, May 25
Spelling: We reviewed common /er/ spelling patterns and noticed that they can mean “one who,” “more,” or can just be part of the baseword.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Students worked on their Jet Toy Challenge presentation and their compare and contrast project. The Jet Toy Challenge presentation is due tomorrow and will be presented to the engineers that supervised our project. The Find It, Decide It compare and contrast project is due Friday, June 3.
Math: Students completed a math skills test.
Science: We reviewed direct and indirect rays and how the tilt of the earth allows for direct rays from the sun to shine on different parts of the earth during different seasons.
Social Studies: None today.
