Class activities for Thursday, April 12
Spelling: Students used letter cards to form words, focusing on words with suffixes.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Several students performed their monologues to the class, reading with speed, tone and volume.
Writing: Students continued to work on the next writing piece, the I-Search research project today. Students are collecting information from the internet and saving the information in Google Docs. Today, students also started to plan and summarize their findings into a concept map using the Bubbl.us website.
This informational project will be due Friday, April 27. Students should be looking for information to answer their research question at this point.
Math: Students practiced dividing three digit numbers today. They also reviewed solving multiple step problems. Homework is to finish Journal P10-8.
Science: We learned more about how the moon moves in space (it rotates and revolves once in about a month). Homework is to finish the earth and moon crossword if not done in class.
