Class activities for Tuesday, February 26
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Students worked on revising their persuasive letter today.
Our current writing project is a persusive essay in the form of a letter. Each student will select an issue facing our country and will share their ideas on how to improve the issue. This persuasive letter is due Wednesday, February 27.

Math: We practiced writing to explain math problems. Homework is to finish Journal P9-3.
Science: We started an experiment about how humans vary in their sense of touch.
Social Studies: Students worked on notebook p. 43, writing a letter about the colonial regions we’ve learned about. Homework is to finish notebook p. 43 if not finished in class.

- Our class is performing a play called The Legend of Lightning Larry, based on a story by Aaron Shepard. Here are the after school practice and performance times. I’ve asked each student to look for things they can wear as their costume for this western cowboy play. If any family members would like to help with the set, just contact me!
