April 16th, 2013
Class activities for Tuesday, April 16
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: None today due to extra time with social studies.
Writing: Students worked on their I-Search research project presentations. This informational project will be due Friday, April 26, when students present their findings during our I-Search Conference. Students should be working on their presentations at this point.
Math: None today due to a camp cabin meeting.
Science: We reviewed our last experiment about how speed is shown on motion graphs. We also completed a class experiment about how speed affects collisions.
Social Studies: We learned that the Great Awakening helped people change their attitudes toward religion and other people. Citizens stopped paying taxes to the official church and could choose their own. Everyone was treated better, instead of giving special treatment to the powerful and wealthy. Homework is to finish notebook p. 54. We will have a test tomorrow about colonial life. Here is a practice test for study.
