Class activities for Thursday, May 9
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences of seven or more words each are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles; some groups worked on breaking unfamiliar words into chunks to help read the words.
Writing: We talked about turning a memory into a poem today. A collection of poems will be due Friday, May 17.
Math: We practiced thinking about multiplication of fractions as scaling (making something larger or smaller). Homework is to finish Journal P11-7.
Science: Students work on their jet toy car that they are building in teams.
