Class activities for Monday, November 4

Spelling: We practiced common spelling patterns for the /k/ sound: k, ck, qu, ch, c.

Cursive: Cursive workbook pp. 37-39 are due Friday.

Reading: Students practiced their Literature Circles Reader’s Theatre plays today.

Writing: None today due to our technology time. Our next piece of writing will be a fiction piece.

Math: We practiced writing rules from tables today. Students also practiced math skills using MobyMax Math. Homework is to work on MobyMax Math or finish Journal P2-4.

Science: Students completed an experiment today about trying to light a lightbulb using one battery and one wire.

Social Studies: Students completed a miniquiz today about features of a market economy. We also started to learn about how money, and goods and services, flow in an economy in a circular pattern from people, to businesses, and back to people.

Spelling: None on Fridays.

Cursive: Cursive workbook pp. 34-36 are due Monday.

Reading: Students practiced reading skills using MobyMax today.

Writing: Students worked on publishing their third writing piece of the marking period, a slightly fictionalized personal narrative. Today was the final work day.

Math: Students practiced math skills using Khan Academy today.

Science: Students completed a magnetism topic miniquiz today.

Social Studies: None today due to our math skills practice time.
