Class activities for Friday, January 23
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a reading skills and AR practice time.
Writing: We practiced writing literary essays today using a new short story.
Here’s a sample that we started writing a literary essay together.
A literary essay will be due Friday, February 6.
Math: We practiced dividing by tens again. Here are some division skills we’ve been working on lately:
We also practiced division facts from 10-12 using AAAMath.com.
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy.
Science: None today due to our math skills practice time.
Social Studies: We learning about a conflict between the English settlers and the American Indians. Homework is to finish notebook p. 37.
