Class activities for Monday, April 20
Spelling: None today due to the math M-STEP test.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Students completed a STAR Reading test today.
Writing: Students used the information they have collected to create a mind map that planned what information would go on each slide of their I-Search informational research project. After the mind map is completed, each student can start to create digital slides. The project is due on May 1. Students will share their research as a digital presentation during our I-Search Conference on May 1.
Math: None today due to the math M-STEP test.

It would be helpful for students to continue working on these skills at home if they haven’t had enough time in class to master them.
Homework is to practice math for 15 minutes or more using MobyMax or Khan Academy, and to work on MobyMax FactMaster for 5 minutes.
Science: None today due to the math M-STEP test.
Social Studies: We learned about how the Great Awakening was a period of religious revival in the American colonies.
Notes:
- Students will be taking the M-STEP (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress) test several days each week for the next two weeks. Please make sure students get enough sleep and a good breakfast!

- Fifth Grade Camp is May 7-8, 2015. Costs are $100 and payments are being accepted through May. A Camp Information Meeting is April 29 from 5-6 pm.
