Class activities for Friday, November 13

Spelling: None today due to the half day schedule.

Cursive: Cursive pp. 22-24 are available and due on Friday.

Reading: Today was the AR Dodgeball reward game. Congratulations to Jacob and Ariana, the only students from our class that made their AR goal and could attend the game. The rest of the class planned some reading goals to help each student become a better and better reader.

Writing: We read a story, Fox, by Margaret Wild, that showed strong verbs, visual details, and an interesting ending. Students also worked on prewriting conferences today.

According to the schedule, today is the second of four drafting days. Hopefully students have used the half days this week to get started on their story. Your student should be finished prewriting and starting their draft. A fiction story will be due Monday, November 30.

Math: None today due to the half day schedule.

Homework is to practice MobyMax Math or Khan Academy for at least 15 minutes.

Science: None today due to the half day schedule.

Social Studies: We started to read an article about how the supply and demand of video game consoles during Christmas shopping season affects price.
