Class activities for Monday, February 29
Spelling: None today.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Friday.
Reading: Today was a reading day in Literature Circles; some groups worked on inferring and determining importance as reading strategies.
Writing: Today students surveyed the class to get data to support the letter topic. Today was also a day to continue to draft the letter. Homework is work on writing for at least 15 minutes.
This persuasive letter project (more details here, here’s a checklist, here’s an example letter we wrote together) is due Friday, March 4.
Math: We practice the standard method of multiplying today in class and at Khan Academy. Here are some skills we’ve been working on lately:
Homework is to practice MobyMax Math or Khan Academy for at least 15 minutes.
Science: We learned that the earth is four times bigger than the moon by reviewing our last experiment.
Social Studies: None today.
