Class activities for Wednesday, April 20
Spelling: We talked about the idea that some sounds are spelling in more than one way. For example, the words read and red have the same sounds, but different spelling patterns.
Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due on Fridays.
Reading: Today was a discussion day in Literature Circles.
Writing: Students worked on creating slides for their presentation today. We learned about using bullets to organize text, and how to inset and organize images. The I-Search project is due on April 29. Students will share their research as a digital presentation during our I-Search Conference on April 29.
Homework is to work on research, the mind map, or slides for at least 15 minutes.
Math: We practiced dividing with remainders today using Khan Academy. Our target is to finish division skills by the end of April.
Here are some skills we’ve been working on:
Homework is to practice MobyMax Math or Khan Academy for at least 15 minutes.
Science: Students worked on a district test about the sun, moon, and earth.
Social Studies: None today due to our reading skills and AR practice time.
