Notes:

  • Today was Field Day!
  • Students turned in their chromebooks today.
  • End of the Year Activites:
    • Waterpark field trip, June 12. Students should bring dry clothes, a swimming suit, towel, sunscreen, sack lunch, closed-toed shoes/crocs/water shoes if they want to do the zip line, zip line permission slip.
    • 5th Grade Farewell, June 13
    • Celebration of Life, June 14
    • Grand Blanc offers a summer school step up program for language arts and math. The courses are offered during the morning in June. Find more information and registration forms here.

Spelling: None today.

Cursive: There will be no more cursive assignments this year.

Reading: None today.

Writing: Students finished publishing their novel. If your student published theirs, go to Lulu.com and search for their name, then order their book!

Math: Students worked on Study Island, a website your student will use for math homework over the summer.

Science: Today was the final human growth and development class.

Social Studies: No new assignments this year.

  • Students will turn in chromebooks tomorrow. Students should clean out the case pocket, and bring their chromebook, case, and charging cord with them to school.

Spelling: None today.

Cursive: There will be no more cursive assignments this year.

Reading: Today was the final reading day in Literature Circles.

Writing: Students worked on designing their novel cover. We’ll finish publishing tomorrow.

Math: Math for the rest of the year is work time to catch up on missing skills for 5th grade math, or to work ahead for next year. Students also started working on Study Island, which is a website your student will use for math homework over the summerHomework is to practice math for at least 15 minutes using MobyMax Math or Khan Academy.

Science: None today.

Social Studies: Students completed a final quiz and test about the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution.

Writing: Students worked on publishing the novel they wrote in March. Students started designing a cover today.

Math: Math for the rest of the year is work time to catch up on missing skills for 5th grade math, or to work ahead for next year. Homework is to practice math for at least 15 minutes using MobyMax Math or Khan Academy.

Science: None today.

Social Studies: We learned about amendments to the Constitution.
