Class activities for Monday, March 32

Spelling: None today.

Cursive: Ten cursive sentences, seven or more words each, are due Fridays.

Reading: Students worked on MobyMax Reading Stories today.

Writing: Our next writing project is the I-Search informational research project. Students will be researching a topic and sharing their research as a digital presentation during our I-Search Conference at the end of April. Homework is for students to think of interesting information topics they would like to learn about.

Math: We worked on comparing two patterns to find the relationship between them. Homework on weekdays is to practice math for 15 minutes using MobyMax or Khan Academy.

Science: We used a simulation to learn that the upper atmosphere is very cold and that helps water vapor to condense into rain. We also learned that wind and mountains affect where water vapor moves in the atmosphere.

Social Studies: We finished reading and writing notes about slavery in the American colonies.

Character Strength: We are learning about humor this week.

Our Mission:
All students in Room 130 will do their best and get ready for 6th grade.
